W 114–110

Moda Center Hadn't Been That Loud Since the Bubble Year

Portland beat a veteran Phoenix squad with everything on the line — Scoot dropping 28, Shaedon going for 22 in the fourth quarter alone. They celebrated on the court like they'd won a title. Let them. They earned every second of it.

San Antonio Made a Statement. Portland Took the Lesson.

The Spurs came out like a 62-win team in Game 1. Portland was tight — road jitters in a first career postseason game. Scoot finished with 18 but forced some shots. The experience was the point. They'd be back in two days.

Nobody Gave Us a Chance. We Won Anyway.

The Spurs hadn't lost a home playoff game in three years. We went down five with three minutes left and Scoot called his own number four straight possessions. Deni hit the corner three to seal it. The bench erupted. That road win is the single most important game of this rebuild — and it didn't get one SportsCenter top-ten. That's what Full Court Press is here for.

San Antonio made their halftime adjustments and Portland couldn't answer. The Spurs went up 3-1 with a focused 120-point effort. Back against the wall.

We ran out of gas. San Antonio is a 62-win machine. What I keep coming back to is the final two minutes — Portland didn't quit. That culture is real.

THE SEASON STORY

October 2025

Season opens. Vegas gives Portland 36.5 wins.

Preseason odds said rebuild. The team didn't read the bulletin. Scoot showed up to camp with a different body and a different motor.

December 2025

Portland climbs into playoff contention.

The youth core found chemistry. Scoot's assist-to-turnover ratio hit elite territory for the first time. Shaedon's three-point shooting became reliable. People started noticing.

February 2026

Trade deadline. Cronin stands pat.

Portland held onto its core and its draft pick. The national media called it a missed opportunity. We called it trust in the process.

April 12, 2026

Season ends 42–40. Portland earns the 7-seed via play-in.

Six wins above Vegas's projection. Seven wins above the previous season. The rebuild became real on April 12th, 2026.

April 14, 2026

Play-in win. Moda Center shakes. Portland is going to the playoffs.

114–110 over Phoenix. Scoot drops 28. Shaedon drops 22 in the fourth. Portland's first playoff berth in years, earned the hard way, on the home floor.

April 19–21, 2026

G1 loss. G2 road win. Portland takes a game in San Antonio.

The most important game of the rebuild happened in a building nobody thought Portland could win in. They won. 106–103. Scoot was unstoppable down the stretch.

April 28, 2026

Season ends in San Antonio. The ceiling is not here yet.

L 95–114. Eliminated in 5. Portland didn't quit in the final two minutes of a 19-point road elimination game. That's the culture. The offseason starts now — and we'll be here for all of it.

FCP Take

"This Was a W Disguised as an L. Portland's Ceiling Is Nowhere Near Here."

A 7-seed. A play-in win. A road win in the playoffs. The foundation is laid.
